Le RICOH GR IIIx a été développé en réponse aux demandes des utilisateurs pour un nouvel appareil photo de la série GR qui ajoutera une nouvelle perspective au très acclamé RICOH GR III. Le GR III est sorti en mars 2019, doté d'un objectif grand angle de 28 mm et conçu pour améliorer encore les valeurs essentielles de la série GR : optimisation de la qualité d'image, capacités d'instantané et portabilité. Le nouvel objectif GR 26,1 mm offre un angle de vue de 40 mm au format 35 mm, proche du champ de vision effectif du photographe.

Selon la façon dont l'objectif est utilisé, cet angle de champ polyvalent peut créer différents rendus d'image : vous pouvez capturer une image similaire à celles prises à un angle semi-grand angle de 30 mm, ou créer une expression visuelle complètement différente comme si elle était prise à un angle de 50 mm. angle standard. L'appareil photo offre également une gamme de fonctions post-prise de vue nouvelles et améliorées pour modifier les images capturées selon les préférences du photographe.
